The short version: we collect the minimum needed to diagnose your crops and keep your history, never sell anything, and temporary chats are never stored at all.
Your leaf photos stay inside Folium. The language model behind replies only ever sees diagnosis text, never your images.
Only what the service needs to run:
When you share a photo, our disease model analyses it and returns a diagnosis with a confidence score. Photos are stored alongside the chat they belong to so you can revisit them from history.
Photos are never used for anything outside operating your account. No advertising profiles, no sale of your data, ever.
Temporary chats are processed to generate your reply and then discarded. They are never written to history, never linked to your account, and vanish when you leave.
To generate a reply, the text of your conversation plus the latest diagnosis context is sent to our language-model provider. Your raw leaf photos are never sent there. Only the diagnosis text derived from them is shared.
Data travels over encrypted connections and rests in access-controlled storage. Passwords are never stored in readable form, two-factor authentication is available, and you can review or revoke every active session at any time.
Conversations, bookmarks, and uploads persist until you delete them. Deleting individual chats removes them; deleting your account from Settings permanently removes your account and everything attached to it.
We don't sell personal data. Information leaves our systems only to the infrastructure that runs the service: hosting and the language-model provider for reply generation, each bound to handle it solely for that purpose.
You can review your chats and sessions, export what matters via bookmarks, and delete anything at any time. Questions about your data? Reach us through in-app support chat.
